hi all,
I'm having problems with my laptop when typing. When I type with my normal speed . 45-50wpm, the keyboard can't keep up! I went to the control panel and adjusted the speed rate of the keyboard to its max speed meaning:
repeat delay: short (dragged to the right most knot)
repeat rate: Fast (right most also)
After doing this step, it kinda fixed the problem, but after a while, it became slow again =(. Sometimes, when I press multiple 'a' keys, I stroke 4 but only 2 letters appeared. This is applicable to 'ALL' keys, not just 'a'. I also tried to strike the keys moderately and it still does the same thing. It feels like that the keyboard is having a memory lapse hehe.
Is this a sign of a keylogger installed in my PC? I scanned my PC using Spybot S & D + Ad Aware (freeware version) + Norton AV 2007 and It just showed a bunch of tracker cookies. It's clean already.
This is the specs of my PC:
Sony Vaio VGN-CR140E/B / Core 2 duo T7300 2.0 Ghz / 14.1 WXGA / 2Gb memory / 160gb hard drive
Vista Home Premium x86
External mouse installed
No other external devices installed
Thank you in advance =)

I have upgraded my computer using a core i5 2500K from Windows 7 x64 to WIndows 10 x64, and the whole system runs fast and reliable, with one exception: after booting from SSD, which takes only about 10 seconds, my keyboard is really slow for the first 1 or 2 minutes right after booting. 'Slow' means that when I start notepad, and type some characters, it takes a second for each character to appear on screen. Everything else is fast, including mouse movement, starting programs, only keyboard input is that slow. After 1 to 2 minutes, the keyboard suddenly behaves normally again.
The crew pc download ocean of games. Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and their trade dress are used under license by Ubisoft.
This happens with every kind of keyboard I connect, no matter if I use the legacy PS/2 adapter, or USB.
Does anybody have any idea what might be the cause of this strange behaviour?

I finally figured out the culprit: it was some original Microsoft software I had once installed called 'Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center' that came with my Microsoft keyboard. The process name is:
After killing that process, everything works smoothly again.

This might be interesting for some people experiencing this problem: in my case, it was caused by EVGA PrecisionX running on startup - the first +-30 seconds were showing terrible lags when typing, waiting around 2 seconds for a letter to appear.

Uninstalled Mouse and keyboard center and my lag delay in typing during startup on windows 10 was fixed.
Hope more people having this issue find this fix. Night and day difference.

Temporary typing lags are often caused by Windows downloading updates 'in the background', or some other automatically updated software on your computer downloading updates.
